Floyd Mayweather recently showed that he also has talent outside of the boxing ring.

TMZ Sports reported that good friends Chris Brown and Mayweather were at Terminal 23 in New York City, an exclusive and state-of-the-art basketball facility created by Jordan Brand, to shoot some hoops. The two played a private game which included NBA stars JaVale McGee and Mason Plumlee as well as rapper Juelz Santana, among others.

In a video shown by Bleacher Report, Mayweather, who was wearing a grey jersey No. 13 and navy blue shorts, was holding a couple of basketballs near the three-point line at the left side of the court. He threw the first basketball with one arm and hit a hook shot with ease. He made a successful jump shot with the second. The ball was returned to him a couple more times and he did two more successful jump shots.

According to insiders, Floyd played well that night. The TMZ Sports video featured the actual game with Chris Brown initially doing some fancy dribbles then a crossover. Brown dished off to the boxing superstar who took a quick look before hitting a midrange jump shot from the left side. The final seconds showed Mayweather running to the other end to play defense.

Newsday reported that Mayweather is an avid NBA fan and is frequently seen on the front row watching a game with other celebrities such as Justin Bieber. He is friends with Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and other NBA stars. He was last seen at a Miami Heat versus Milwaukee Bucks game where he met and talked with rival Manny Pacquiao for the first time.

Daily Mail wrote that Mayweather approached Pacquiao at the game then discussed the potential mega-fight between them at the latter's suite in Miami.

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said in the same Daily Mail report, "I honestly feel that fight is going to happen. Floyd has talked on TV twice at the basketball game, which is very unusual."

According to GMA Network, Manny Pacquiao himself is also a big basketball fan. The eight-division champion is currently a playing coach for the Kia Carnival team of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Pacquiao scored his first point in the professional league via a free throw on February 18 against the Purefoods Star Hotshots. His team also won 95-84.

Perhaps if negotiations fail again between the Mayweather and Pacquiao camps, the two can resort to the basketball court instead.
