Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao is reportedly getting back to training, although fans remain in the dark as to who his next opponent is.

GMA Network reported that on February 10, Pacquiao recently shared a couple of photos of himself carrying his baby boy, Israel. He added the caption on Instagram, "More than anything that is very important is when you serve the Lord and spend time with the family before the serious training for the upcoming fight. Fight who?????? Hehehe im excited for this!"

Fansided said that a lot of talk has been circulating since late 2014 that the super-fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is finally going to happen. Their two camps have been very busy negotiating the terms for a May 2, 2015 fight. After Floyd and Manny met personally at the latter's hotel suite in Miami to further discuss the deals of the bout, people became more optimistic than ever that the two will eventually meet in the boxing ring.

Pacquiao might be thrilling boxing fans by posting the statement, since people have been clamoring for the big fight to happen since 2009. The fight is expected to garner the biggest fight purse in boxing history. In the past five years, negotiations have failed between both parties with many fans losing interest in the topic, aggravated by the fact that both fighters are already past their prime. However, majority of boxing fans and experts are still looking forward to the possibility of an actual fight happening, albeit late.

Rappler reported that Pacquiao remains optimistic that the fight against Mayweather will happen, even though he went home to the Philippines from the United States without an official fight announcement or any contract being signed.

Previously, Pacquiao said on Fox News, "I'm thinking that the fight will happen. So hopefully...within one week, though, we can hear from them and fix the fight. I don't want that when I retire boxing, and there's a big question to the minds of the fans."

If negotiations fail again between the two camps, Rappler revealed in the same report that Mayweather will most likely fight Miguel Cotto on May 2, while Pacquiao might fight former sparring mate Amir Khan on May 30. Amir Khan has been calling out major boxers to fight him.

Pacquiao's motive for sharing the photos and dropping hints is yet to be confirmed. Fans can only wait for an official announcement that he will be facing Mayweather or another opponent.
