Fans are eager to find out who will be playing the lead characters in the film adaptation of the bestseller '50 Shades of Grey' and have pushed to promote their favorite actors and actresses for the roles of Christian and Anastasia.
Rumors have circulated over several big-name stars being cast in the coveted film. Some actors themselves had added their names into the mix, including 'New Girl' actor Max Greenberg.
Leading among actors being considered for the role of Christian Grey are Michael Fassbender, Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Ryan Gosling. Actresses Nina Dobrev, Amanda Seyfried, Alexis Bledel and Emma Watson have all been rumored to be in the running to play Anastasia Steele.
Actress Emma Watson, of 'Harry Potter' and 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' fame, has been a persistent fan favorite to play alongside Ryan Gosling for the roles of Christian and Anastasia. However, the actress has repeatedly denied having any connection to the role.
Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, off screen couple and on-screen costars on 'The Vampire Diaries,' also seem to have at least one fan rooting for them to play the raunchy couple of '50 Shades.'
Gather Celeb reported that fans have gone as far to made a '50 Shades' trailer staring the two in the lead roles. Set to Rihanna's "S&M," footage of the two from 'The Vampire Diaries' is used to give a shockingly accurate review of Grey and Steele's relationship.
With the film still in the pre-production phase, who will be chosen to play any of the characters is still in the air.
