Taylor Hanson, of MmmBop fame, welcomed a new baby girl to his ever growing family this week. The singer and his wife announced the arrival of their fifth child on Wednesday.

"Natalie and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest family member, Wilhelmina Jane Hanson," the 29-year-old told PEOPLE. "She arrived on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and was welcomed by more love than could fit in the room."

Hanson, who shot to fame with his brothers Isaac and Zac in the band Hanson during the nineties, and his wife first announced the pregnancy in April to PEOPLE magazine. In July, the couple revealed they were expecting a girl.

Baby Wilhelmina joins siblings Ezra, 9, Penelope, 7, River, 6 and Viggo, 3.

According to PEOPLE, choosing a unique name for their newest addition was very important to Natalie Hanson. "Thinking back on all the children's name has helped to give me a fresh perspective in choosing for the baby girl we are expecting in the fall," she wrote in her blog this summer.

She added, "It has helped to remind me how the right name seems to come at the right time and how, no matter how 'perfect' the choice, it will only be a part of all this little person will become."

The Daily Mail reported that Taylor Hanson previously spoke about being a young parent with so many children. "After two kids, you're outnumbered. So once you cross to having three, having [more] is not such a big deal," Hanson said in 2009.

In a recent interview, Hanson told reporters, "I know for my wife and I, we always loved the idea of being young parents. It is an incredibly inspiring and challenging job being a parent, and as it turns out, being young really helps you keep up."

Hanson and his two brothers just completed the last leg of their world tour for their album 'Shout It Out.' The band is working on their sixth album, which is scheduled for release in 2013.
