Another team of Marvel superheroes will be rolling out in movie theaters later this year. How do we know that? That recently released teaser trailer for "The Fantastic Four," duh.

"The clip features a grave monologue ostensibly delivered by Dr. Franklin Storm (played by Reg E. Cathey), who waxes on humankind's insatiable need to discover, invent and build," Rolling Stone said.

"As he speaks, we get our first look at the superheroes-to-be - Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch - as they prepare to launch into space," the publication added. "A handful of explosions and dramatic poses, plus quick snippets of the Human Torch bursting into flame, The Thing busting out of the rock he's encased in and Mister Fantastic extending his reach for the first time."

Sounds like this one's going to be a fantastic movie experience. What do you think?

The filmmakers themselves, director Josh Trank and producer-screenwriter Simon Kinberg, had done us a favor and broke down the teaser for us.

In this version of "The Fantastic Four," Trank wanted to showcase the superhero team in a more serious light.

"[Stan Lee] loved the idea that somebody would take the Fantastic Four seriously and put them in a modern space," the film's director told Yahoo! Movies. "We wanted [the movie] to be grounded and dramatic and we went for the four most dramatic actors."

So that explains the casting for the lead characters, then.

Meanwhile, Kinberg predicted the shot that would be the most GIF-worthy: that of The Thing doing his, er, thing, which is busting out his "rock-hard exterior."

"That will be the frame that is frozen and screen-captured and emailed the most," he noted.

As this is still a teaser, the film's villain, Dr. Doom, is notably absent, which does nothing but whet Marvel fans' appetites.

"We think that might be a glimpse of Doom's alter ego, the scarred Victor Domashev (Toby Kebbell), on the hospital bed, but Trank and Kinberg aren't spilling," the entertainment news source said.

"The most important thing about the Fantastic Four, is that this is a movie about a family," Trank said in conclusion.

"Sue and Johnny Storm are brother and sister in the comics, and Reed Richards and Ben Grimm are long-time friends of theirs. (Sue and Reed eventually marry)," Time noted. "Unlike the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy or even X-Men, the entire group acts like a loving, bickering, realistic family: They have a history together before they get their powers, and must learn to evolve together."

The news outlet also said that this reboot will be covering the group's origin, which supports the fact that the filmmakers want to present The Fantastic Four at a new, more serious angle.

"The Fantastic Four" will be in theaters on August 7.
