Fans and gamers are looking forward to the release of puzzle game "Pneuma: Breath of Life," and the developers recently announced the game's official release date, also unveiling its first gameplay trailer, IGN reported.

"Pneuma: Breath of Life" is developed by Deco Digital and Bevel Studios and is set to be released for a limited period of time exclusively to the Xbox One. The title was first announced last year in August with an announcement trailer even released for the game.

Now Deco and Bevel are heightening anticipation even further by releasing the game's first gameplay trailer.

They have also confirmed a release date of Feb. 27, and while the game will also be available via Steam Greenlight, it will only be available for 30 days.

Fans need not fear though, as the developers promise a PC version to follow "as soon as possible." They also shared that they have plans for the game's Steam release to include the Oculus Rift DK2 support.

"Since we announced 'Pneuma' as a timed exclusive on Xbox One, we couldn't wait to reveal footage from the finished game to the public as well as being to talk about compatibility with Oculus Rift," game producer Joe Brammer stated, according to IGN.

"We've quite literally been working day and night the past six months on no salary to make the game," he added. "It's not been easy but I believe what we've designed is something special that the gaming community is craving on both consoles and PC."

"Pneuma: Breath of Life" is a first person exploration game where the player solves puzzles and manipulates the environment by looking at the eye motifs that are hidden around the place, according to Total Xbox.

The players are also accompanied by an inner monologue, voiced by Jay Britton, as the game challenges their observation skills and puzzle-solving skills while also navigating the story's twists and turns.

The developers said the game was designed "to force players to think outside the box and explore beyond what they know as reality through the eyes of a god." They also said that players will need to "progress through a narrated story of self-discovery exploring the fundamental nature of being," according to Joystiq.

It's a pretty tall order, not to mention very philosophical in nature, and it remains to be seen how gamers will take to Deco and Bevel's new offering.

"Pneuma: Breath of Life" will be released for 30 days exclusive to the Xbox One next month with a price tag of $19.99.
