In celebration of this year's Black History Month, avid shoe collectors can avail of special edition sneakers from Nike. The shoe lines that will be featured include the LeBron 12, Kobe 9 Elite, KD 7 and Kyrie 1 in low-profile colorways.

Bleacher Report wrote that in anticipation of Black History Month this coming February 2015, Nike featured its four signature basketball sneakers in black, white and grey tones.

Slam Online reported that Nike and Jordan Brand presented their BHM Collection, which is comprised of 28 items, including 12 sneakers and 16 apparels. On Martin Luther King Day on January 19, basketball fans will have a first look at the sneakers on the court, including the Jordan XX9.

The 2015 Black History Collection of Nike will be available beginning January 17, based on the same report by Slam Online. According to Nike, part of all the proceeds from the sneaker sales will go to the Ever Higher Fund, a charity established in 2014 that aims to support organizations that hel the underprivileged youth through sports.

The new BHM Collection was inspired by six athletes and coaches, highlighted by Nike for the year for their courage and determination, namely Theotis Beasley, Jerry Rice, Kevin-Prince Boateng, C. Vivian Stringer, Brianna Rollins, and John Thompson.

Michael Jackson, Nike Brand's Vice President and General Manager of Global Basketball, said in a report by Nike.com, "Sport is an incredible platform to inspire and encourage positive social change. Our 2015 Black History Month Collection honors and celebrates the athletes global culture and have paved the way for our next generation."

Based on the photos presented on Bleacher Report, the LeBron 12 BHM will feature a black and white pattern upper, white Swoosh, white shoelaces and white tongue. It also has a dark icy sole.

Meanwhile, the Kobe 9 BHM will also feature a black and white pattern on the upper, with the inner side of the upper being predominantly white while the outer side is predominantly black. The shoelaces are black while the outsole is white.

The KD7 BHM also follows a black and white colorway, with the front portion being predominantly black while the rear part is predominantly white. The tongue and outsole are grey.

Lastly, the new Kyrie 1 BHM features black, white and grey tones. The tongue, midsole and inner lining are black while the shoelaces and teeth on the midsole are grey.

The four signature basketball models, together with other apparel and sneakers from Nike and Jordan Brand will be available on Nike.com and other selected Nike retail outlets beginning January 17.
