PS4 January 2015 Game Releases: 5 Titles Dropping This Month

A new set of games are bound to launch in January 2015 for the Sony Playstation 4.

PlayStation Lifestyle reported that there will be several games and downloadable content for the PS4 in as early as January 13. Free games will also be featured for PlayStation Plus members.

1. "Citizens of Earth"

On January 20, the role-playing game will be released, featuring players as the Vice President of the World. The main character is a traditional charming bureaucrat who manages major affairs. When he returns to his rural hometown to take some time off, he discovers that there are a number of things worth investigating in his old town. Game Zone reported that instead of finding out more about the mysterious happenings, you get to hire ordinary people to do the hard work for you, since you are a politician.

2. "Resident Evil Remastered"

PlayStation Lifestyle reported that the popular horror game will also release on January 20 in North American and January 21 in Europe. Gamers get to experience the original 1996 version of "Resident Evil" in high definition or HD. The textures, environment, and graphics have been thoroughly enhanced plus players get to pick between playing the old 4:3 aspect ratio or the new 16:9 widescreen display. Players also have more options in terms of control, getting to play either the traditional control setup or the newer analogue stick.

3. "Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell"

On January 20, the standalone expansion to "Saints Row IV" will be released. Gamers get to play either Johnny Gat or Kinie Kensington. In the storyline, the Saints leader is sucked into the pits of hell so the main character has to go on a rescue mission, battling various monsters, demons and the Devil himself, based on the same report by Game Zone.

4. "Infamous: First Light"

The game will be available for free on the PlayStation 4. Based on an IGN report, the game is the standalone prequel to "Infamous: Second Son". Gamers get to take on the role of the neon-powered character to fight enemies. Another free game for the PS4 in January 2015 is the brain twister, "The Swapper".

5. "Grim Fandango Remastered"

On January 27, the famous 1998 horror classic remake will release. The main character is Manny Calavera, who attempts to find redemption as a reaper. Calavera is particularly tasked to sell a special travel package to a soul or else he loses his job. The game features an exciting storyline complete with romance, scary creatures and crime, based on the same Game Zone report.
