Excited for the upcoming "Star Wars" movie? Then here's a sneak peek on the TIE Fighter which might probably be used in the movie.

Indie Revolver on New Year unveiled a photo of a concept art for the movies' well-known ships. View the concept art here.

The image shows a "much larger than a typical TIE Fighter," with a more updated design, Screen Rant reports.

Indie Revolver said that the design closely resembles the classic TIE Fighter due to the vertical wings and central cockpit. However, the foreground ship has some departures. Aside from this, there are also extra engines between the cockpit and the wings. Notice that the cockpit also has an extra row of windows. Indie Revolver's Jay Carlson said he personally thinks that the new design for the ship gives one a "new" feeling towards it even though its aesthetics has been maintained. The large gangplank coming down from the ship shown in the concept art also shows a "much roomier" vessel.

This large gangplank may also suggest something else. Screen Rant says that it may mean that the TIE Fighter is definitely not there just to shoot X-Wings in the sky.

"Near the bottom of the image you'll notice a gangplank descending from its body with a pair of Imperial Guards standing watch. This visually echoes anytime The Emperor would exit his ship in the original trilogy, but with The Emperor dead (if he's dead, that is) who would warrant such pageantry?" Screen Rant's Sarah Moran says.

Indie Revolver reveals that the model has been named "TIE Fighter - Special Forces." It speculated that the ship will be ridden by Gwendolyn Christie's Imperial officer.

In the upcoming movie, Mark Hamill will reprise his role as the protagonist Luke Skywalker and Harrison Ford as Han Solo. Carrie Fisher, meanwhile, will still be Solo's wife, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. Also included in the cast are Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Gwendolyn Christie, Lupita Nyong'o, Pip Andersen, and Crystal Clarke.

"Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" is directed by J.J. Abrams. He is also included in the sreenplay credits together with Lawrence Kasdan. Abrams is also one of the producers together with Kathleen Kennedy and Bryan Burk. The movie will hit theaters on December this year.

According to Variety, the film was shot in Pinewood Studios, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England, in United Kingdom.
