Just two days ago, the Dark Knight Rises cover art was spoiled online.

Now Warner Brothers has made the official announcement that includes new cover art and the extra features for the release of one of the summer's hottest films.

The Warner Bros. Press release announces that the DVD and Blu-Ray will be available on December 4 and will showcase a number of options for fans.

"The Dark Knight Rises" will be available in a Blu-Ray Combo Pack for $35.99 and a single DVD set for $28.99. The Combo pack includes a Blu-ray disc and a DVD. Both sets will include Ultraviolet which enables users to download and instantly stream a standard definition version of the film on a number of devices such as computers, tablets, smart phones, game consoles, etc. There will also be an edition with a Broken Cowl statue.

Warner Bros will also release a limited edition Trilogy Gift set which includes the three films from the Chris Nolan Batman trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises). The set will include an exclusive book and will cost around $52.99.

Those hoping for extras will be pleased to know that there are a great number of extra features including a documentary on the Batmobile which will go in depth on all five of Batman's batmobiles in the trilogy and the evolution throughout the series.

There will also be a documentary called "Ending the Knight" which features 17 featurettes and looks at the production of "The Dark Knight Rises." It includes information on Batman vs. Bane, The Pit, The War on Wall Street, and many others. One has to wonder if the omitted Bane footage may make an appearance here.

Those two documentaries will be on the Blu-ray combo. DVD owners will get a featurette on The Journey of Bruce Wayne which will likely be a retrospective.
