Despite those Surface Pro 4 rumors, Microsoft continues to push Surface Pro 3, convincing consumers that the device is a 2-in1 gadget that can effectively replace a laptop with a brand new ad.

"The latest ad goes by the name 'Accolades,' where the company has handpicked some of the famous quotes from various publications and built a story around the 2-in-1 Pro 3," the International Business Times noted.

The said ad runs to the tune of "I Am the Best" by 2NE1, a South Korean girl band - an interesting choice that may be seen as the American tech company's attempt to tap further into the Asian market and also appeal to the hipper members of the buying public.

"The video essentially shows the Surface Pro 3 from the front, then we get a glimpse of the kickstand in use, followed by someone drawing a circle with the pen, and after a little spin around the device, the video finishes with the user detaching the tablet from the type cover. Finally we get the tagline -- 'The tablet that can replace your laptop,'" Betanews described.

"In-between all that we get quotes flashing up on screen. The 'accolades'. These consist of "...the most beautiful thing Microsoft has ever produced" (The Verge), which is a bit of an odd choice ('Microsoft has made something stylish for a change' is hardly the greatest selling point ever). This is followed by "Gadget of the year 2014" and 'Computer of the year 2014' (both from Stuff) and 'One of the best inventions of 2014' (Time)," the site went on to say, noting that the ad is "a bit meh" and "a bit rubbish."

Do you agree? How do you find the latest Surface Pro 3 ad?

On the other hand, rumors of the next edition of Microsoft's tablet continue to swirl, with some of the most recent ones saying that the upcoming device will be released in 2015 and will come in 2 different sizes, as noted by IBT. There's also the possibility that the company may unleash a Mini version on eager consumers. There's also talk that, instead of a 12-inch screen, Surface Pro 4 will sport a 14-inch screen and will boast a 2160x1440 resolution.

Design & Trend noted that the Surface Pro 4 "will launch sometime in 2015 for a "cheaper price" than its predecessor."

"There's some indication that Microsoft fans may hear the first official details about the Surface Pro 4 during the upcoming 'Windows 10' event on Jan. 21," the site revealed.
