It appears that 'New Girl' cast members Max Greenberg and Carla Gugino may want to take a stab at playing 50 Shades of Grey characters Christian Grey and Elena Lincoln, according to recent reports. The two actors will be working together during the second season of 'New Girl' as Schmidt and his supervisor, who forces him into sex-filled contract similar to that of the raunchy book.

According to E! Online, Greenberg admitted that he would definitely be willing to play the part of Christian Grey. The 'New Girl' star told Giuliana Rancic during the Emmy's red carpet walk that he would have no issue doing a full-frontal for the role.

"Yeah, that's not a problem," Greenberg said. "That's not the issue. It's the issue of whether they wanna see that much intensity onscreen, because that's what I plan to bring."

Greenberg's fellow 'New Girl' star, 41-year-old Gugino is also suspected to be up for a role in the New York Times bestseller's film adaptation. According to Gather Entertainment, Gugino would be a perfect fit for the Elena character, who is the first to engage in a sexual relationship with the younger Christian Grey.

"Carla is a very captivating cougar. She's stripped down in Sin City; starred as a pregnant porn star in Elektra Luxx; and played a sexy superhero in Watchmen. So since she certainly has no problem with sex and violence, maybe she'd make the perfect "Mrs. Robinson" in the 50 Shades movie," the site wrote.

Both actors will have stiff competition getting the coveted roles. According to Books & Review, actors speculated to be up for the role of Christian Grey include: Ian Somerhalder, Robert Pattinson, Matt Bomer, Henry Cavil, Colin Egglesfield, Jessie Pavelka and Alexander Skarsgard.

Actresses rumored to be up for the role of Elena Lincoln, or "Mrs. Robinson," include: Kim Cattrall, Elena Barken, Charlize Theron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lena Olin, Angelina Jolie, Diane Lane and Sharon Stone, Books & Review reported.
