Rumors are saying that the new LG flagship device, allegedly known as the LG G4, will be unveiled to the public this summer.

Although LG has not yet released any comment or statement regarding these speculations, Christian Today has predicted that the new device might come out on summer next year. If LG continues with its pattern, then it is likely that the new flagship device will be out by May next year, it revealed. To note, both the LG G3 and LG G Pro were unveiled in the month of May.

The claim is supported by the International Business Times and Trusted Reviews. IB Times says the release will likely be in May while Trusted Reviews says it will be in summer. Master Herald wants to play safe predicting the phone's release date in mid-2015.

For comparison, the first of the LG G series was unveiled in September 2012, Gospel Herald said. This was followed by the LG G2 in August 2013, and then by the third one in May this year.

So what should we expect in this new LG device?

Design

Christian Today says that the new smartphone will likely be measuring 5.7 inches. It is likely to sport HD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It added that the device is also seen to have an aluminum-clad body to rival with Samsung's A series.

iKnow Today, on the other hand, reports a different thing. It claims that the new LG device will either have a 5.5-inch or a 5.9-inch display that has Super AMOLED screen protected by either a sapphire crystal glass or Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It added that it might also have a 2K or 4K screen resolution.

Thinner bezel

LG has been known as the company that produces phones with very thin bezels. So, this new device might also likely boast of this feature. To note, LG revealed in a statement dated October 30 that it has developed new narrow smartphone LCD panels by using Neo Edge technology and Advanced In-Cell Touch (AIT) technology. It said that the product has been mass produced in China.

"LG Display, the world's leading innovator of display technologies, announced today that it has developed a 5.3-inch Full HD LCD panel for smartphones with the world's narrowest bezel at 0.7mm. With this cutting-edge display, LG Display continues to lead the market in high-resolution large-size displays for mobile devices," the statement read.

LG Display's IT/Mobile Development Group Head and Vice President Byeong-koo Kim said in the statement that they believe there is an increasing trend for phones with narrow bezels so they are continuing to develop this type of technology.

TechRadar believes that the new LG G4 will absolutely outshine its predecessor which has 1.15 millimeter bezel on each side. It said that the new device might make use of the new technology LG has produced so it is likely that the LG G4's bezel will come in at 0.7 millimeter on each side.

Processor

The Rem says that that the new device might get any of these as processors: Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, Qualcomm Snapdragon 802, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 808.

Storage

The device might get a 3GB or a 4GB RAM, The Rem said. Aside from that, it is also likely to be available in two variants: 32GB and 64GB. The device will also likely to get a microSD slot, boosting storage.

Camera

Christian Today says that the camera will likely be a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter with a 5.1-megapixel front camera. The Rem, meanwhile, reported that the device's camera will likely have a 13-17 megapixel snapper. The front camera, on the other hand, might be 3 or 4 megapixels.

Battery

Christian Today says that the device is expected to get a battery which ranges between 3500 and 4000 mAh.

Price

The same report puts the price range between $650 and $750.

LG has yet to confirm all these rumors but as a refresh, see the LG G3's trailer below.
