After the huge success of "Grand Theft Auto 5," talks are already circulating about the release of GTA 6.

In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid by BallerStatus.com, he revealed that he will again be appearing in the next installment of "Grand Theft Auto," which will happen in New York again. Liberty City is the equivalent of New York, which is also the same setting for GTA 3 and 4. This means that the setting for the sixth installment will come back to Liberty City.

In a report by Cinema Blend, Leslie Benzies, president of Rockstar North, which developed GTA 5, already talked about the possible launch of GTA 6, just a few weeks after GTA 5 released. Benzies said, "We've got about 45 years' worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas."

GTA6GrandTheftAuto.com reported that since Rockstar launched "Grand Theft Auto 5," many gamers immediately asked about the creation of GTA 6. GTA 5 set the record for the fastest-selling video game in history, raking in $800 million on the first day and $1 billion in three. "Grand Theft Auto" proved to be one of the most popular video games ever. GTA 6 is equally expected to do well.

Fans particularly expect better graphics and enhanced gameplay elements in the next GTA. In the same report by GTA6GrandTheftAuto.com, Rockstar will most likely launch GTA 6 in 2018, based on its previous strategies and game releases. The very first GTA launched in 1997, then GTA 2 followed in 1999. In 2001, GTA 3 was launched. It took seven years before the next "Grand Theft Auto" installment was released with GTA 4 in 2008. In 2013, GTA 5 became available. Based on previous GTA releases, "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be available on shelves no longer than 2020 or seven years since the last version.

MasterHerald.com wrote that Rockstar might set the story back or forward by a number of years. This is to prevent accidental plot holes made by going to a new story using the old ones. There are rumors that Rockstar have already begun work on GTA 6 and that the studio divided its development team into three groups to better manage the assignments. Two groups are allegedly tasked to develop new content for GTA 5, while the third group is set to work on GTA 6. It is more likely that the group assigned for GTA 6 is still in the conceptualization phase, and not on actual development just yet.
