WrestleMania 31: Sting to Fight Triple H Instead of The Undertaker? [Rumors]

The return of Sting may pit him against Triple H instead of The Undertaker.

Inquisitr.com reported that the legendary Sting returned to action at WWE's Survivor Series in the final week of November. He went straight to business by executing the Scorpion Deathdrop to Triple H at the main event, which started speculations that he might be facing "The Game" instead of The Undertaker come WrestleMania 31 in 2015. There were plenty of opinions citing that HHH and Sting might be a more viable match compared to Sting versus The Undertaker.

In the same Inquisitr report, Sting allegedly has the same contract as Brock Lesnar, where he will be slated to appear only as agreed upon.

In an article by 411Mania.com, Rob Feinstein of RF video stated before Survivor Series, "From what I been hearing I think Undertaker is done and the plans are for Sting and HHH at Mania... but anything can change but that is what I have been told."

RingSideNews.com revealed that wrestling fans are still clamoring for a Sting-Undertaker fight primarily, but some will settle for a match against Triple H if The Undertaker is not available. A few thought that Sting can also be pitted against other WWE superstars, while others believed that Sting is already too old to wrestle.

Rumors have been circulating that The Undertaker will be retired by the time WrestleMania 31 happens, making it more likely for Sting to battle Triple H. It would still be a dream match for fans, although not as grand as one against The Undertaker, which wrestling enthusiasts have been raving about for several years.

In another report by Inquisitr, the latest news about The Undertaker is about his new role with WWE NXT development team. PW Insider stated, "The Undertaker, who was visiting the WWE Performance Center this week, attended last night's WWE NXT taping and told people will be assisting the developmental program as an 'adviser'. The word going around the company is that he will be going to the Center in Orlando on a limited basis to help out and offer advice."

At Texas Comic Con, Mark Callaway, Undertaker's real name, reportedly told fans that he does not even plan to attend WrestleMania 31. However, there are still talks that he will make an appearance, although short of battling for the heavyweight belt, based on the same Inquisitr report.

So far, Inquisitr reported that the available evidence presents that a Sting-Triple H match is more likely to happen. Speculations can still be rebutted by new developments in the storyline in the upcoming WWE episodes, although Sting has not appeared on television since Survivor Series.
