Are you fond of theme parks and crazy rides? If yes, then Orlando might be one of the places you could add to your travel bucketlist in 2017.

Wfmynews2.com reported that a 570-feet roller coaster is set to rise in Orlando, Florida. The ride will be called Skyscraper. It will be built by Wallack Holdings in collaboration with US Thrill Rides inside a more than $200 million entertainment complex called Skyplex.

The Skyscraper is touted to be the "world's tallest roller coaster" to date.

ABC News noted that the new ride to be unveiled in 2017 steals the crown from the record holder Kingda Ka which stands 456 feet high. The Kingda Ka, which is found in New Jersey, however is still faster than the Skyscraper as its speed can reach up to 128 mph. The Skyscraper can reach speeds of up to 65 mph.

The announcement of the new roller coaster was accompanied with a four-minute video animation showing what it would look like when riding the Skyscraper. The video was uploaded by Attractions Magazine on YouTube on November 17. You can check out the video here.

As seen in the video, at least eight people can ride the Skyscraper (two rows of four). It also showed the route of the ride. Riders can both enjoy the view from the inside and outside of the arcade Skyplex. It shows that riders can see the people inside the arcade. They can also see the International Drive and even the Orlando Eye observation wheel. The ride starts inside the building and eventually goes up. It then goes out of the building allowing more twirls and twist along the way.

"The unique design of the coaster means more incredible, heart-pounding inside and outside loops, dives, spirals and inversions in a vertical area than riders have ever before experienced," US Thrill Rides founder Bill Kitchen told the Orlando Sentinel.

Meanwhile, US Thrill Rides president Michael Kitchen was quoted by the Orlando Sentinel saying, "[The] Skyscraper will not only take riders higher than ever before, but also introduce one thrill right after the next - there's no 'down time' on this four-minute coaster experience...It is an absolute cutting-edge engineering marvel that will deliver pure adrenaline unlike any roller coaster in the world today.

The groundbreaking of the roller coaster will be in 2015.

Skyplex's managing principal Joshua Wallack told the Independent that the new Skyscraper and Skyplex will make Orlando known as the "world's attractions capital" and "No. 1 vacation/convention destination."

"We're certain this thrilling new iconic coaster and facility will attract countless more attraction enthusiasts and visitors to the area," he was quoted as saying.

Architectural firm HHCP made the design for the Skyplex. It is to be built by Winter Park Construction's Euforria.
