Decades after Ben Affleck's foray into the entertainment industry, his star remains unflagging and on the rise. "Argo," a film he directed, won Best Picture at last year's Academy Awards and his recently-released film "Gone Girl" turned out to be a box office success. Then there's his upcoming starring role as the caped crusader in "Batman v Superman," which will be released in 2016.

With all that being said, will his busy and successful career take a toll on his marriage to Jennifer Garner?

Judging by his regular outings with his children and actress wife, it looks like the opposite is true. Ben and Jennifer appear to be a strong couple all these years since they wed in 2005.

The actor-director even affirmed this by saying that he is "very lucky" because he has a great wife - a good fortune that BFF Matt Damon also shares, People noted.

"Now both married with kids, they credit their families with giving their busy lives balance," the entertainment news source added.

The pair actually first met "on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2001 but Affleck has previously said they 'fell in love on the set of Daredevil' in 2003," MailOnline said. "The couple married June 29, 2005 on the Caribbean island of Turks & Caicos."

ET had posted a clip of an interview involving Ben and Jennifer way back in 2003 while they were promoting "Daredevil." Interestingly, Ben, at that time, was still engaged to Jennifer Lopez, and the "Elektra" actress was technically still married to actor Scott Foley, although they were already separated at that time.

The site noted that it was evident in the clip that Jen looked "like she had a school girl crush" on her co-star.

"The two wed in 2005 and are the proud parents to Violet, 8, Seraphina, 5, and Samuel, 2. Nine years later the couple is still going strong!" ET said.

The famous couple's united front, however, has not kept the divorce rumors from coming. However, the pair has not let those reports affect them and continue to nurture their relationship.

Recently, Jen said in an interview that she blames her extra pounds on her husband, who is working out to achieve that Batman-worthy body and is very careful about his diet.

"There's something about it: Whenever one of us has to be really good, the other one pudges up," the 42-year-old actress explained, according to E! News. "I don't know why it is. But I blame my pudginess on his strict and disciplined place in life. There's something about it that just makes me like, 'Well, I'm going to have a Bon Bon. I'm going to have ice cream.'"

"I also just don't want the temptation around for him and I say, 'Here, honey, let me just take care of this for you,'" she laughingly added.

Aren't they just a sweet and loving couple?
