Exactly a week to go before the release of "Grand Theft Auto V" on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, gamers of the widely popular video game are still waiting for the promised 'Heists' DLC that Rockstar have been withholding for quite a long time already.

"Grand Theft Auto V for PS4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical updgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever, states Rockstar Games, in its website.

However, it seems that fans are more anxious now on the 'Heists' DLC for the multi-player "Grand Theft Auto V Online" from Rockstar more than the latest installment of the open-world video game.

In a report by Gamespot last Friday, Rockstar has confirmed that the 'Heist' DLC will indeed be coming soon and that once released, it will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and also the PC.

The good thing about the 'Heists' DLC according to Rockstar is that it will also be added to all versions of "GTA V" and not just on its November 18 release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and its January 27, 2015 release on the PC, added Gamespot.

Rockstar made the confirmation to douse rumors swirling around that the 'Heists' DLC will only be for the new versions and skip those in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, notes Gamespot.

Anxious, Frustrated and Angry Fans

Despite its pronouncements on the updates to the 'Heists' DLC for "GTA V Online", Rockstar has yet to announce a specific date for its release, leaving gamers anxious, frustrated, and angry.

One fan comment on the Gamespot article was quite succinct in hitting at Rockstar when he said: "Online 'heists' (have) been so long in the pipeline that the hype for it is pretty much dead at this point."

An obviously agitated gamer also posted: "No point in telling us the 'heists' are coming soon. (It) could mean two years from now. Either give us a date or shut up and do your job in giving us part of the game we already paid for a year ago. First it was soon, then soon again, then Spring, and then 'we don't know when,' and now back to soon again. The least they could do is give us a maximum deadline when we will get it at the latest."

There are also frustrated fans who theorized on the possible cause of the delay. But none can be more 'radical' than the post that read: "Perhaps I sound like the conspiracy theorist here, but I think Rockstar is holding off the 'heists' to get as much money in microtransactions from online before introducing a new feature that is expected to make these purchases basically useless."
