Taylor Swift is hot right now - she has just released her newest album and is currently appearing on the seventh season of "The Voice" as an advisor for all four teams on the singing competition.

And so Monday night was one very interesting episode as viewers got to have their first "taste" of the country-music-superstar-turned-pop-artist as an advisor on a reality talent show.

It appears Tay made a sensible, keen advisor, if you ask Cosmopolitan. She was reportedly the first to give this season's "first piece of good advice." Or make that two, considering she called out on two contestants during the first night of the knockout round.

The first pair to go head to head was Sugar Joans and Bryana Salaz from Team Gwen. "The girls are put together because they know how to work the stage well; but need a little bit of help performing," Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.

"Taylor Swift calls out Bryana for 'showing off' and then calls out Sugar for overdoing her 'signature growl,'" Cosmo also observed.

After Bryana did Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack" and Sugar was done with "Love On Top," judge Adam Levine thought the sing off is a tie, with co-judge Blake Shelton agreeing. Eventually, Gwen chose Bryana, and Pharrell goes on to steal Sugar.

Next onstage is Griffin and David James Carter from Team Blake. The former chose to sing Justin Bieber's "As Long as You Love Me," while the latter picked "You've Got a Friend," the New York Daily News said. Blake eventually went for David and sent Griffin home.

Team Pharrell's Danica Shirey and Katriz Trinidad came next. They were paired by the "Happy" artist as he thinks "they are both power houses and really wants to see which of these two girls can bring out do the other," Celeb Dirty Laundry explained. Danica did "Saving Al My Love For you" while Katriz sang Alicia Keys' "Superwoman." Pharrell eventually kept Danica.

Team Adam then presented Damien ("How Do I Live") and Toia Jones ("Crazy In Love". The Maroon 5 frontman chose Damien, despite the other 3 judges' praises for Toia's performance. Surprisingly, none of the judges stole Toia.

Jessie Pitts ("Your Song") and Tanner Linford ("Calling All Angels") from Team Blake were next. Jessie was a steal from Team Gwen, and ended up being given yet another chance to prove herself in the competition as Blake eventually chose her to stay on.

Team Gwen's Luke Wade and Taylor Phelan sang "Rich Girl" and "Rather Be" respectively. Despite Taylor's improvement on T-Swift's suggestion to perform without his guitar, Gwen chose Luke. However, all three judges pressed the steal button for Taylor, who ended up choosing Adam.
