Halloween is coming up, and with the ghouls and ghosts roaming the streets, it's the perfect time to stay in and watch as many terrifying shows as possible.
With Halloween being a television favorite, with shows like "Roseanne" and "Pretty Little Liars" making it as special with treats and tricks for their fans, the holiday is well under way this year, and networks are planning to take the charm right to the small screen.
Here are some highlights of bewitching shows we can count on scaring us this Hallow's Eve, as noted by the New York Daily:
MONDAY
- "Animation Domination" on FXX from midnight to 2 am with a bunch of Halloween specials sampler from the network
- "Halloween Marathon" on AMC with scary, Halloween movies from 7pm on Monday-Wednesday, and at 9 am on Thursday and Friday
- "Goth Kids" on Comedy Central at 9:30pm, which is an edgy "South Park" episode and a whole kit better than "The Great Pumpkin" special
TUESDAY
- "Mustache Day" on Nickelodeon at 11:30am, which is a less frightening take on the network's trick or treat
- "The Great Halloween Fright Fight" on ABC at 8pm which is a Halloween house decorating contest. The people who overdecorate their homes will compete for a $50,000 prize
- "Dead of Night" on TCM at 8pm, which is another horror flick to celebrate the holiday week
WEDNESDAY
- "Southpark," "Modern Family," and "Black-ish" on Comedy Central at 8pm, as they will showcase these shows for their Halloween specials
- "Stalker" on CBS at 10pm which will feature haunted houses and a Halloween party gone bad
- "American Horror Story" on FX at 10pm, an already creepy show on an even creepier Halloween night, what's not to love?
THURSDAY
- "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" on ABC at 8pm, because nothing can beat classics
FRIDAY
- "24 Hours of Horror" on TCM starting at 6am, with classic frightening shows in store, including "Carnival of Souls" at 4:45pm, "Night of the Living Dead" at 8pm, and "House of Wax" at 11:45pm
- "Twilight" movie marathon on FXX from noon- 10:30pm, because sparkling vampires who stalk you in your sleep can be creepy too
- "Halloween Marathon" on Disney Channel at 2pm, the network airing only Halloween episodes from different Disney channel shows until late into the night.
For viewers looking forward to a more family-friendly marathon for All Hallow's Eve, The Hollywood Reporter also has some suggestions on films that you can watch, including "Hocus Pocus," "Ghostbuststers," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Beetle Juice," and "The Addams Family."
