For the younger generation, Warwick Davis was Harry Potter's Charms professor, Filius Flitwick. However, before he was cast in the popular magical franchise, he was in a film that had equally, or even bigger cult following - he was an Ewok in the George Lucas's "Star Wars" franchise from Episode VI.

And now, he's back to take on his role as one of the adorable bear-like creatures for Episode VII.

According to Cinema Blend, the actor made the announcement by posting a cleverly-made video that was shared on the official "Star Wars" Facebook page.

As the website noted, the devil is in the details as the video included an Ewok action figure on the actor's desk, and later on, an image of him on a coffee mug that had the phrase "actual size."

Check out the video here:

Davis is not the only one in the original trilogy who is returning for the 2015 film. According to the New York Daily, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are also listed for the project.

It is also unclear whether or not Davis will reprise the role of Wicket, which he snagged when he was only 12 years old. There is the possibility of having the actor in a different role altogether. The website AintItCool is convinced that Davis will not merely reprise his role as an Ewok in the series.

As noted in the Inquisitr, the first film in the new trilogy is already in the works, but the plot hasn't been revealed, and it is not yet known just how the old characters will be integrated in next year's release.

Of course, the video that showed the actor sitting around for 17 months and growing a very unruly beard as he waited for George Lucas and J.J. Abrams to give him a call, is as far from the truth as possible.

Since starring as the Ewok Wicket over 30 years ago for "Star Wars: Episode VI," the 44-year-old actor also starred in "Harry Potter," "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," and "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian." He also appeared in some television series, including "Doctor Who" and "Dwarves Assemble."

With Disney plotting a new string of "Star Wars" movies all the way to 2020, there should be more in store for the actor in the future.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
