After a rift with Bengal Mangle productions earlier in the year, with writer and director Seth MacFarlane allegedly stealing the idea of a talking teddy bear, it seems like "Ted 2" is definitely going to continue production, with for more stars coming its way. According to MTV, McFarlane just announced that Liam Neeson is joining the cast for the comedy movie with the very violent, very foul mouthed Ted.

MacFarlane made his announcement on Twitter, saying, "Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2."

Yes, that's right. The movie with the bear has some major actors in the cast, including Morgan Freeman (god himself) and action-star Liam Neeson, who would probably be threatening criminal masterminds on the phone.

Freeman's role is still unknown (they're keeping mum about updates, so far) but who's to say that Neeson won't be hunting down the baddies who kidnapped his daughter?

Who among the Neeson fanclub hasn't memorized that quiet, threatening tone, after all: "I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

It would be awesome to add some action in the comedy, but that role is sooo years ago, and he's had other cool roles besides "Taken". But as noted by Time Magazine, McFarlane has a tendency to make some pop references on his television show, so there should be some sort of nod for "Taken" in this film, with all the big actors being cast in it, right? And Neeson does have a very special set of skills to make this work.

Boston.com noted that Neeson has already previously worked with MacFarlane on a western comedy called "A Million Ways to Die in the West", which featured him as an outlaw.

Hopefully this MacFarlane-Neeson tandem will work out better than "A Million Ways to Die in the West," which was a big flop earlier in the year, opening with only $17.1 million on its first weekend.

Other stars who confirmed appearances in the film include Ryan Reynolds, Norah Jones, Sam Jones, and Rom Skerritt. The main roles go to Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried (who replaced Mila Kunis). MacFarlane himself will be the voice the titular teddy bear.

The sequel to the 2012 hit has only just begun filming in and around Boston, so you could be on the lookout for Neeson to be in the area before they call it a wrap. Universal is said to release "Ted 2" on June 26, 2015.
