Having a "soundtrack of your life" is the dream, but there's a reason why we can't all just break into a song and dance like they do in "High School Musical" and "Step Up" - sometimes, it just doesn't work that way.

One Direction's Liam Payne probably had to learn that the hard way when he partied in Las Vegas during his pal, Niall Horan's 21st birthday celebration. He reportedly ended up in the emergency room because of a hand injury, initially believed to have been caused by a break dancing challenge

A source for the Daily Mail said that the singer just "got a bit carried away" by the celebrations.

Fan accounts also shared pictures on social media showing Liam's cast, demanding to know what happened.

But a rep for One Direction has put an end to speculations. Gossip Cop reached out to One Direction's camp and they were told Liam "hurt his hand while training" in the gym and that "He will be fine."

Meanwhile, Harry Styles missed out on the festivities as he was under the legal drinking age and cannot be permitted in Vegas Clubs, Daily Mail added. But, rumors are saying that he was actually hospitalized after suffering from chest pain while performing in Pasadena.

It is also unclear if Louis Tomlinson partied as well. He seemed to have been AWOL during the festivities, Daily Mail noticed.

Aside from Niall's birthday, the group was also celebrating their sold-out shows in the Rose Bowl stadium as part of their tour over the weekend. The venue, which holds a maximum of 92,000 people, have housed concerts by Michael Jackson and Rihanna, and have been one of the biggest concerts yet for the Irish lads.

One Direction is still set to have more concerts across North America for their "Where We Are" tour, and having the boys sick and injured made for a bad timing. However, they have been professional and dedicated all throughout, with Unreality reporting that despite having chest pains during one of their shows, Harry rallied on so as not to let down the fans who showed up to see them perform.
