It seems that 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have taken their rivalry to new heights as the rapper challenges the boxer to read instead of taking the ALS Ice Bucket challenge.

Once business partners, their falling out and public bashing have been widely reported by the media. Mayweather has recently said that hip-hop artists come and go, unlike himself, who has remained a "relevant" person throughout his career.

50 cent, on the other hand, bashed the boxer's verbal skills, taunting him in a special ESL-ALS challenge.  He dared Mayweather to read an entire page of a "Harry Potter" novel without messing up. If Mayweather takes up the challenge and posts a video as proof, 50 Cent will give a generous three quarters of a million dollars (that's $750,000!) to any charity that Mayweather chooses.

The rapper captioned his video

Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fucking up.

Okay, can we take a break there for a moment and give time to check that not only did 50 Cent say "ALS" intead of "ASL," he also forgot the difference between "accept" and "except"? But that's irrelevant for now, what's important is that he will give that large amount if Mayweather accepts the challenge.

An article from Grantland.com wrote that "while we can all debate 50's current relevance, it's always important to remember that Floyd Mayweather is pretty much illiterate."

The challenge was then amended later on, with 50 Cent saying in another post that Jimmy Kimmel agreed to let Mayweather read in his show. Instead of reading a page from "Harry Potter," 50 Cent did not want to put pressure on his "rival."

"We know you can't pronounce those words in the 'Harry Potter' book, so we gonna let you read 'Cat in the Hat,'" he said in the post.

Mayweather's publicist said the boxer will most likely respond via his social media accounts, LA Times noted.

Guess it's up to Mayweather if he takes up the challenge (and prove that he is indeed literate) and make a charity of his choice $750,000 richer.

We can't wait to see the results!
