Just when you're wondering whatever happened to "Dumb and Dumber To," the lead stars of the long-awaited sequel have released new promotional posters for the funny flick on Twitter, for your comedic entertainment.

"This is not the first time that Carrey and Daniels have shared posters from the upcoming comedy with their Twitter followers," The Hollywood Reporter recalled. "In March, the actors posted teaser posters that featured the two colorful suits that their characters wore in the first film. 'Dumbing soon,' read the bottom of those posters."

While the first posters triggered nostalgia for the 1994 film, these new ones are expected to trigger a couple of chuckles and laughs from viewers, especially those familiar with the Scarlett Johansson starrer "Lucy," which was directed by Luc Besson. The distinctive colorful eyes, amidst the predominantly black and white color palette of the image, should tip off those familiar with the movie's poster.

"The posters are clearly a spoof of those for this summer's action flick 'Lucy.,'" Time explained. "But while Lucy's posters asked viewers to imagine what Scarlett Johansson's character could do with 100 percent of her brain power, rather than the standard 10, Dumb and Dumber To's posters set a much, much lower bar."

The tagline? Both posters the same lines, which are as follows: "The average person uses 10% of their brain capacity. Imagine what he could do with 1%."

Judging by the movie's first trailer, it looks like both characters can do "awful, absurd, gross, distasteful, clueless, embarrassing and hopelessly tone-deaf" stunts with the aforementioned 1%, as noted by Mashable.

Will this latest "Dumb and Dumber To" promotional poster be the beginning of many more spoofs?

"Directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly, the film follows dim-witted best buddies Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas as they go in search of Harry's long-lost daughter," The Independent said. "The long-awaited sequel follows Dumb and Dumber, which was released two decades ago."

Aside from Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who tweeted their respective "Lucy"-inspired posters, the sequel stars Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, and Rob Riggle. Cam Neely, who played angry trucker Sea Bass in the original, will also be back to reprise his role, as well as "Billy the Blind Boy," as we've said back in July. There will also be a cameo by Jennifer Lawrence, although it's not certain which role she will be playing in the flick.

"Dumb and Dumber To" will be playing in U.S. theaters on November 14th this year and will arrive in UK cinemas on December 19th.
