Are they or are they not?
That's the question that's been swirling around Austin Mahone and rumored girlfriend Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony for months now. Whisperings of a romantic coupling first emerged back in April, when Austin shared a photo of him and Camila on a movie date.
"The rising pop star and Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello, 17, went on a sexy movie date on April 27, and the fact that they documented it with some cute pics leads us to believe that they might be ready to go public with their relationship!" Hollywood Life observed.
Not long after that, in May, the up-and-coming pop star posted yet another Instagram snap of him and his rumored ladylove, showing them posing next to a "NO TRESPASSING" sign, as noted by MTV.
"It would appear as if Austin had led the Fifth Harmony member somewhere that they should not have been," the site said.
However, when asked whether they are dating, Austin maintained they were "just friends," Cambio reported in June this year.
"They actually posted the Instagram pics just to get a laugh out of their fans' reactions, because they knew it would get the Twitter-verse buzzing," the entertainment news source said. Do you believe what he said, Mahomies?
Meanwhile, Camila herself also insisted that she and the "All I Ever Need" crooner are really just friends.
"THERES NOTHING TO BE FIGHTING OVER BECAUSE AUSTIN AND I ARE JUST FRIENDS, and to his Mahomies, I support his happiness as much as you do, so nothin' to be stressed about," she tweeted back in July, according to Entertainmentwise.
Now, yet another snap of the rumored lovebirds was posted on Austin's Instagram account. "Even though both super stars have stayed hush on the topic of a relationship, Austin has been keeping the rumor alive by sharing photos of him and Camila on his Instagram account," Fanlala pointed out.
In the photo, the two seem to be smiling at something and are not doing any PDA. Despite this, they are the only ones captured in the shot, further fanning speculations of a secret romance. Are they going to admit something we've been suspecting all along soon?
The pop stars met at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day last year "and have been in touch ever since," a source was quoted as saying by Entertainmentwise. They got linked to each other after attending the MTV VMAs in 2013.
