Bruce Jenner Sex Change Update: New Long Hairstyle for Olympian

Bruce Jenner, a former Olympian and now part of the famous Kardashian family, has made a drastic change in his hairstyle that could be a part of his decision to alter his gender. 

The 64-year-old head of the family has been changing the color, length and texture of his hair in the past months. In a report by E! Online, Jenner was seen just about to step into his vehicle on August 1, 2014 with a new hairdo, which is the longest that the media ever witnessed from him.

Bruce's hair was very long, going over his shoulders, although the top seemed a lot shorter as the wind was blowing on it, showing a mullet-like appearance. He had eyeglasses on and a striped shirt, which brought out the reddish tint of his long locks. Bruce was spotted after buying coffee at Starbucks in Calabasas, California.

Bruce seemed to be experimenting with his looks in the past months and was featured in "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" making a number of changes in his outfit and hair. In the show, Kendall and Kylie Jenner pleaded for him to cut his hair but he refused.

According to Hollywood Life, Star Magazine wrote that Bruce had talked to Renee Richards, a friend of his and a transgender rights advocate, to seek advice on going through with his rumored gender reassignment surgery. The magazine also noted that he already had a female name for himself ready - Bridget.

Source previously said that Bruce was obsessed with plastic surgery as much as Michael Jackson. One of his unique surgeries in 2014 was chondrolaryngoplasty on February 10, which involved shaving his trachea and is usually the initial step in gender reassignment therapy. It seemed as if his new hairstyle might have something to do with his plans to change sex.

The gender reassignment rumors broke out after Bruce and Kris Jenner announced that they were separating. The two stated before, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Kris Jenner earlier dismissed the rumors that Bruce was going to have the major operation. She said, "It's just like unbelievable that these blatant lies are printed, and people are gullible and they buy the magazines." Bruce's daughter Cassandra Marino, however, had a different statement. She said, "Nobody knows how it is to be in his skin. If that's what he chooses to do, then I support him."
