Former star of the Kansas Jayhawks and recently drafted, Joel Embiid, is never shy to share to the world who his latest crush is.

In an article on Bleacher Report, fans were surprised to know that Embiid was unaware that his longtime crush, Kim Kardashian, is already married to Kanye West. He previously said that Kardashian can send him messages via his Twitter inbox any time the sultry celebrity feels lonely, but he took back his statements after discovering that Kardashian is no longer single.

Lately, Embiid announced that he has gotten over Kardashian and is now interested in Barbadian singer, Rihanna. It seemed as if he has a lot of time tweeting stars, now that he is officially part of the NBA. He will be out during the initial months of the 2014-2015 NBA season due to an injury, though.

On Twitter, his account @JoelEmbiid posted, "BREAKING NEWS: Moving on from kk to Rihanna."

On July 23, 2014, he tweeted, "Hey baby holla at me!! Dinner at giorgios at 930 pm @rihanna??" Rihanna has yet to reply to his invitations but Kim Kardashian has ignored all of the center's goofy posts for several weeks.

Embiid finally tweeted, "Ok so @kimkardashian hasn't DM yet... Should she be blocked too? I'm ready to block her though." A fan brought it to his attention that Kardashian was no longer available. He apologized for the tweets and recanted his former statements.

So, will his social media posts get the attention of RiRi? Even though he made several tweets about a possible dinner with Rihanna, so far, there has been no sightings of the two.

The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Embiid 3rd overall and he has been making waves as one of the most talented in the 2014 NBA Draft pool. SB Nation writes that the team, however, discovered that Embiid had a foot injury. He had to undergo surgery on June 20, 2014, and because of that, he was not present during the actual NBA Draft 2014 in New York. He will require about three to five months of rest to fully recover.

Embiid is expected to be the starting center for Philadelphia when he is 100 percent healthy. When he was in college, he was included in the 30 finalists for the Naismith College Player of the Year. But he suffered a stress fracture in his back, causing him to be absent during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.4 assists while playing for the Jayhawks.
