Fans have something to look forward to as "Sons of Anarchy" promises to bare more skin, courtesy of Chibs, and the return of the flamboyant character, Venus Van Dam (Walter Goggins).

On his Fourth of July tweet, showrunner, Kurt Sutter, tweeted about Tommy Flanagan's surprise for the show. His tweet read, "For all you scotophiles, I can safely say that there will be semi-naked CHIBS this season."

Chibs has been one of the fans' favorite characters on the show, given his colorful background. As the Scottish Vice President of the all-American Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Chibs has been providing brotherly support to Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and is a father figure to Juice Ortiz (Theo Rossi). In the sixth season, Chibs' allegiance to Jax was tested when he grew wary of the SAMCRO president's dealing without the motorcycle club's, or at least his knowledge of the matter. Moreover, Chibs cannot also help caring for his ward, who has betrayed the club.

On the other hand, it would be interesting to know how Van Dam's storyline on "Sons of Anarchy" will be presented. According to Entertainment Weekly, in the past season of "Sons of Anarchy," "Van Dam asked the club for help in saving her son from her child-porn-producer mother and got closer to Tig (Kim Coates)."

Initially, Sutter was apprehensive to cast Goggins on the show, as he is afraid that viewers might associate him with his role on another television show, "The Shield." However, it appeared that Sutter might have changed his mind.

"He texted me while I was filming [Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained] down in New Orleans, and he said, ‘Were you serious?' I said, ‘About what?' He said, ‘Are you going to play Venus Van Dam?' I said, ‘Have you written it?' And he said, ‘Yes.' I said, ‘Send me the pages.' And I just fell in love with her immediately. It was really important to both of us that we really go there, we make her a three-dimensional person with feelings. Sassy, sweet, smart, and beautiful," Goggins told Entertainment Weekly.

Goggins' portrayal was so spot-on that the actor earned an Emmy nomination, which might as well be the very reason why Sutter decided to have him come back as Van Dam. On the other hand, Goggins might have just foreshadowed his return to the show last year.

He confided to EW in October, "I wouldn't be surprised if you see her again before this show is done. I'll just say that. She's like a drug for me. And I think she's like a drug for Kurt. Kurt and his writing staff did such a good job of creating this woman who is as strong as they come and now simultaneously as vulnerable as they come. I just... I miss her. I missed her the day that we wrapped, and I miss her now. I hope to be six inches taller than some of the members of the gang on Sons of Anarchy again, but we'll see."

International Business Times said "Sons of Anarchy" will return to television screens for its final season in September.
