Undefeated boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. has a big promise in store for fans.

Mayweather has confirmed that he will have a rematch against Marcos Maidana, whom he defeated in May 2014. The two will face each other again in September 2014 after several fans thought that he did not deserve his victory via majority decision.

Mayweather said, "September 13th back to business, Marcos Maidana-Floyd Mayweather part II." He added, "And then in May, I am fighting in May. I have a big surprise for you all. Everybody, tune in."

Mayweather has a habit of intriguing fans so much which is why he garners the highest pay-per-views among all boxers. He promised that he had a huge surprise for his debut fight in 2015. Many fans immediately speculated that he may finally be facing Manny Pacquiao for the first time after promoters failed to make the two come to an agreement in the past several years, a report by the International Business Times said.

For many boxing fans, a bout between Mayweather and Filipino, Manny Pacquiao, would be the biggest in the era, even topping that of Ali and Frazier decades ago. In May 2014, Prince Amir Shafipour of the United Arab Emirates shared his deep interest in staging a mega fight between the two boxers in Dubai in 2015. He said that he can make the fight happen and that his company is currently talking to both camps.

Shafipur said in an interview with Gulf News, "I will honestly and truthfully tell you that if anyone can convince them to fight, and to fight in Dubai, I can. I have a lot of worldwide connections, with managers, promoters, fighters, people in the business, who speak the same language that Mayweather and Pacquiao are speaking. You have to be on the same page as them and only then will you get their attention."

However, fans should not completely get their hopes up for the biggest fight. Mayweather may be talking about a bout with Amir Khan or Danny Garcia. These are great fights too, although not stellar. Pacquiao, on the other hand, is also set to fight late in 2014. He may be facing Amir Khan too. There is still no certain news about his decision.

In a report by Boxing News 24, should the giant fight come true, it would be featured for Cinco de Mayo 2015. Cotto versus Canelo would be forced in the undercard and Mayweather versus Pacquiao would definitely be placed as the main event. It would be the biggest money fight that Top Rank Boxing promoter Bob Arum would ever get his hands on.
