The latest trailer of FOX's upcoming Dark Knight-based series, "Gotham", gives a preview of what to expect from the rogues that hound Bruce Wayne's beloved city.

Fox featured three of the villains that would hopefully enthrall not only viewers but fans of the dark Knight franchise, MTV.com said. Teenage thief who will grow up to become Catwoman, curly-haired Selina Kyle, is seen smirking head-on to the camera as the rest of her world slows down. Mob boss Fish Mooney, played by the wonderful Jada Pinkett-Smith, appeared to be at the top of her game in Gotham. The Penguin, played by Robin Lord Taylor of "Walking Dead" fame, exudes a sinister vibe as an unknown victim of the psychopath henchman of Mooney is tied helplessly to one section of the camera.

Ben Mckenzie who plays James Gordon is heard narrating as the characters are introduced in the 33-second teaser, variety noted. He said, "Looking into the eyes of a criminal, you have to ask, how will the little girl, a low-level thug, a business woman become the most dangerous villains around? Simple answer-they all got their start in this city."

Although the three are just a small part of the menace that would plague the fictional city of Gotham, Commissioner Gordon would sure have a lot in his hands as a rookie cop. MTV.com said the Riddler and Poison Ivy are already on board to make their appearances in the new series, and several clues have led to the introduction of the Joker by the end of the first season.

"Gotham" will be featuring Gordon teaming up with Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), whom the former will have problems with considering that his new partner is gritty, tough and has a drinking problem, the HollywoodLife.com said. The entertainment news site, who has attended an advance screening of FOX's latest series, assured that both Batman fans and curious viewers could easily jump in to "Gotham" even though the focus is not about the Dark Knight. Moreover, fans of Mckenzie's former show, "The OC," are expected to check out his latest show because his new character in the series is a complete departure from the dreamy hunk that he portrayed in the East Coast show.

"Gotham" will be debuting in the fall on FOX with 13 episodes packed with action and dark drama. Meanwhile, you can check out the show's latest teaser below:
