Hans Solo was reportedly harmed by his beloved Millennium Falcon.

The Independent confirmed that the 71-year-old actor of the "Star Wars" movies was airlifted from the set of the new "Star Wars" sequel to a hospital after the ship's hydraulic door fell on him while filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire

Ford reportedly suffered a suspected broken ankle. Earlier reports said the actor was clutching his chest in what seemed to be an apparent chest injury as well, Daily Mail wrote. He was brought to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, which has a trauma unit that specializes in fractures.

Ford's spokesman confirmed the news and said, "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII'. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates."

Daily Mail quoted a spokesman for the Thames Valley Police, who responded to the accident. "We were called to Pinewood studios at 5:05 p.m. after reports of a 71-year-old man being injured by a garage door."

Ford had also suffered major injuries that disrupted the filming of a movie, the Independent disclosed. While filimg "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" in 1984, Ford suffered a back injury, prompting director Steven Spielberg to reschedule shoot dates while Ford was recuperating after an operation. Spielberg subsequently hired British-born stuntman Vic Armstrong, who has an uncanny resemblance to the actor, to stand in on Ford's behalf.

Now, It is unclear how long Ford will be out due to his injury.

On the other hand, the Health And Safety Executive has launched a probe into the accident, and is reportedly rechecking the Pinewood set for safety issues.

It has been nearly 40 years since Ford appeared in the first "Star Wars" film, Daily Mail said. Starring alongside Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia and Mark Hamill as the original Luke Skywalker, the three were initially confirmed to reprise their roles in "Star Wars: Episode VII". Fans and moviegoers saw the cast once more in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" in 1983.
