Rumors about a "feud" between "Glee" co-stars Lea Michele and Naya Rivera have run high for the past couple of weeks now. Reports of Rivera being booted out of the show also circulated, although they were later dismissed as false.

And now, the hit show's co-executive producer has finally made a statement regarding two of his lead stars, dispelling rumors that one of them won't be back for the next season.

"I don't think there is a story between Naya and Lea," Ryan Murphy said, as noted by Extra TV. "I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated. Naya's coming back next year, Lea's coming back next year, anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started."

So there is it -- straight from the producer's mouth himself! That should put the gossip to rest. Well, hopefully.

Meanwhile, the divas' co-stars have still not commented on the subject, choosing to stay mum to keep the said story from getting out of hand. However, Chris Colfer did touch on the matter just last week by expressing his dismay to People over false reports about his castmates.

"It's really sad. I've seen some of my closest friends on Glee go through where these horrible things are written about them and none of it is true, but some reporter wants to get a hit, they say so-and-so is a raging bitch," he revealed.

When pressed to comment on Rivera's alleged bad behavior, Colfer prudently responded that he'd rather not talk about it.

However, when asked to share something about his life, he said he just minds his own business. "I don't want to say life is too short for drama, but I think I'm just too old for drama. I'd rather go home and be with my cat and my dog than start a war with someone," he explained.
