Prince Harry made his first public appearance after naked photos surfaced on the web of his Las Vegas trip on Monday as he presented 10 awards to honor seriously ill children, ITV news reported.

The appearance included two amusing references to the scandal where the royal spoke to a "cheeky" six-year-old who said he would tell the prince he was "glad he got his clothes on."

According to ITV, the boy, Alex Logan, is in remission from acute leukemia. Logan, who got a royal talking to, was one of the children being honored at the WellChild Awards. ABC News reported that Prince Harry, 27, is a patron of the charity and was at the award ceremony to present the Most Inspiration Child award.

Logan's mother, Debbie, described the meeting with the Prince to ITV news, "Harry said to Alex 'You keep looking up as your mum, looks like you're dying to say something but you know she will tell you off. I heard you were on ITV earlier, you said something cheeky, let's not talk about that here.'"

Earlier in the ceremony, Prince Harry made a subtle, yet not unnoticed remark regarding the scandal, ITV reported.

"All of you, children, families, nurses, doctors, carers, volunteers are quite frankly too remarkable for me adequately to describe with mere words," he said. "But never one to be shy in coming forward, I'll give it a go." The Prince's remarks were met with laughter and applause from the audience, it was reported.

The British royal has avoided the public eye since his scandal until Monday although others involved have not. E! Online reported that one of Harry's alleged hookups 32-year-old Carrie Reichert spoke to the media to talk about what happened during the Las Vegas party. According to the NY Post, royal officials have said that the photos were a breach of the prince's privacy but no other comments have been made by the royal family.
