Tim Tebow, the 26-year-old Heisman Trophy winner, has not yet dashed his dream of becoming an NFL quarterback, according to ESPN. In January 2014, the former All-American signed to become part of SEC Network. The pregame show called "SEC Nation" will air on August 28 on the SEC Network. The show will feature Tebow and his crew going to various schools before SEC games.
However, Tim shared that he still trains five days a week. He said, "I feel like I'm the best that I've ever been as a quarterback right now. I hope I get the opportunity to show that. But I'm also looking forward to being part of 'SEC Nation' and part of ESPN."
He added, "I'm not sure what's ahead of me. I'm very excited to have this opportunity at ESPN, but who knows what the next few months will hold?" He further talked about moving around the NFL, "I don't have any regrets. I've just tried to focus on being a better quarterback, being a better athlete and being ready whenever a team gave me a call."
According to a report by the International Business Times, it has almost been a year since Tim Tebow last played for the NFL. In August 2013, he became a free agent after being released by the New England Patriots. He only played for the Patriots for two and a half months. There are teams that portrayed their interest in acquiring Tebow, but under certain circumstances only, such as losing key players due to injuries. It is uncertain whether Tebow would be signed by any team during the summer.
When asked about his new role as a SEC analyst, he said, "I would love to continue to be someone that is positive but also be someone that is objective. He added, "I can continue to be that same person as an analyst and sharing what I believe about players, about teams, about games," writes NFL.com.
