Cain Velasquez is set to fight Fabricio Werdum for the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 180 on November 15, 2014. The big faceoff will be held in Mexico City. The announcement was made by Dana White, president of the UFC.

Before the fight, the two will also be coaching future UFC fighters against each other in the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America", reports Yahoo! Sports. The show will start filming on May 12, 2014 in Las Vegas and will be shown in the United States and Mexico starting August 18, 2014.

Werdum has been improving significantly through the months and finally emerged as the top contender for Velasquez, who is the current champion. The UFC is set to penetrate Latin America with the new season of "The Ultimate Fighter", to commemorate with the two coach's showdown come November. Velasquez is Mexican, while Werdum is Brazilian but grew up in Spain.

According to Bleacher Report, Dana White said, "It's a great day for me and the UFC. Anyone who has followed this company and this sport knows I've been talking about Mexico for a very long time. I though Mexico worked very well with this demographic and this sport. And I always knew it would be big here if we had a chance to come here."

Fans are apprehensive about Velasquez, since his last fight was in October 2013. He came out of a shoulder injury which kept him at bay from fighting Werdum at UFC 172. The continuous expansion of the UFC would heavily depend on Velasquez's health, writes SB Nation.

Velasquez said that he will do everything to fight in Mexico and has been working to recovery completely from his previous injury. The two apparently have no bad blood as they kept interviews clean and straightforward. Werdum also said that he has nothing negative to sayabout Cain, and that he is a good person.
