A report by ESPN reveals an updated 2014 NFL schedule, which features several key dates that fans should watch out for this season.

Accoridng to the schedule, from April 7 to June 19, 2014, OTAs, mini camps and team practices will be held. On April 21, offseason workout programs may be commenced by teams with returning head coaches, according to Yahoo! Sports.

May 2, 2014 marks the deadline for restricted free agents to sign their offer sheets. Until May 7, the previous clubs of restricted free agents may exercise their right of first refusal and choose to retain players. From May 8 to 10, the 2014 NFL draft will be held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The first round of the draft is set to start at 8 p.m. A spring meeting will also be held in Atlanta from May 19 to 21.

There is one important meeting from June 22 to 28 - the rookie symposium. It will be held at Aurora, Ohio.

The deadline for an NFL player who designated a franchise player to sign the latter to an extension or multiyear contract is at 4 p.m. on July 15, 2014.

On August 2, the Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony will take place. A day later, the Hall of Fame Game will be played in Canton, Ohio, featuring the New York Giants against the Buffalo Bills. The preseason will end on August 28.

The regular NFL season officially starts on September 4, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. according to CBS Sports. The opening game will feature the Green Bay Packers against reigning champions Seattle Seahawks. The regular season will end on December 28, 2014.

From January 3 to 4, 2015, the playoffs will start, featuring the wild card round. The divisional playoffs will be from January 10 to 11, while the conference championships will be played on January 18.

At around 8 p.m. on January 25, the Pro Bowl will be played at the University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona.

The Super Bowl XLIX will be on February 1, 2015, still held at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
