Evolution Studios, the developers of the PS4 exclusive title, are promising a full update in the weeks to come until E3, they said in a status on their Facebook page.

"We know you want news about DRIVECLUB. We are going to bring you up to speed with a full ‪#‎DRIVECLUB update soon, because we are immensely proud of how the game is developing and we're confident you'll see why when we show you more," reads the post.

The studio has not mentioned a specific date for the promised "full 'Driveclub' update" but when Kris McConnell asked if "in the weeks to come" means E3, Evolution Studios replied, "expect more info in the weeks up to E3." Rumors have suggested that the developers are looking to dish out major game update at the Electronics Entertainment Expo, the famous annual video game conference and show to be held June 10 to 12 this year at the Los Angeles Convention center.

Last month, GameSpot reported that the racing game is making "spectacular progress." The news came as a surprise for many fans as Evolution Studios was reported to have lost its game director, along with numerous lay-offs after Sony's "internal review." Some staff from other UK developers, Guerilla Cambridge and SCE London Studio was also laid off by Sony, confirms GameSpot in another report.

"We have full confidence that the game will deliver on its PS4 promise to be the first truly socially connected racing title and we are very pleased and excited by the calibre of work from Evolution Studios," a representative of the PS4-maker said despite the lay-offs.

"The progress being made on the game is spectacular. So we're looking forward to sharing an update on development, release date, and videos of the game in action in the weeks to come. We thank you for your patience and assure you, it will be worth the wait," the Sony rep added.
