Best Buy Limited Offer Releases Xbox One for $400

Xbox 360 and PS3 game console owners can get Microsoft's latest game box at $100 off the standard price.

GameSpot reports that Best Buy is launching a trade-in offer on April 27 which allows gamers who are willing to trade their past-gen consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3) in return, at least $100 off the Xbox One's price tag. The said big-box retailer's trade-in offer is for a limited time only, adds GameSpot.

"Starting April 27, if you trade in a working Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 at Best Buy, you'll receive at least a $50 gift card and a $50 coupon to use toward the purchase of an Xbox One. Trade-in values may vary, Best Buy says, but you're guaranteed at least a $50 gift card for any working Xbox 360 or PS3. The deal ends Saturday, May 3," reads the GameSpot report.

Best Buy sells the Xbox One at the standard price of $499.99. The price already includes the Xbox One controller, the headset and the HDMI cable on top of the game box. Currently, Microsoft's game console comes with a free title, "Forza Motorsport 5." A purchase entitles the buyer to a download code for the said game.

The Xbox One has also been bundled with "Titanfall" for the same price of $499.99. However, GameSpot notes that according to Best Buy, the limited time trade-in offer will not work with the Xbox One "Titanfall" bundle as the big-box retailer is no longer offering the hot item.

According to GameSpot, the said offer is only limited to Xbox One purchases. No offer of such kind has been confirmed to be made for Sony's game console although Best Buy is accepting PS3 trade-ins for the Xbox One promotional deal.

Though the trade-in offer clearly saves bucks, some gamers are adamant about the deal, saying that there's no way they would trade in their past-gen consoles especially because the Xbox One still cannot compete with its predecessor in terms of the number of titles available.
