Singer Ninel Conde was forced to clear up the rumors of an alleged abortion she had, categorically denying it and alleging a discrediting campaign against her.

During the press conference carried out during the presentation of the cast of the "Amar y Querer" musical in Mexico City, Conde spoke on the matter visibly upset, denying the statements made by an entertainment magazine and a recording of her arguing with her boyfriend, Giovanni Medina, on the matter.

"This is a part of a discrediting campaign that started a while back, which thank God, producers like José Joel have ignored, since these people who want to discredit me obviously want to block my work, block my income, for my daughter and my family," said Conde in an improvised conference carried out in the Blanquita Theater on April 22, reported El Universal.

The actress also said that she would never do something like that, saying that she has wanted to be a mother again for years.

"I've wanted to get pregnant for years, and haven't been able to, for whatever reason, but when God wills it, it will be a great blessing," she said.

On her participation in the new play, produced by Dario de León, José Sosa, Daniel Kim and Edgar Espeleta; singer José José, whose biography is the main subject of the musical, said he is happy with Conde's acting, describing her as "a complete artist, who sings, dances and acts."

On early April, magazine TV y Novelas leaked a recording of Ninel and Giovanni arguing inside the actress' truck, a recording filled with swearing where Giovanni threatens to destroy her career and leave her in ruins for getting the abortion, cheating on him with his brother and other multiple unmentioned people.
