Did Miley Cyrus finally got the attention that she had wanted from ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth? The "Mockingjay" star was reported to be a concerned friend for the "We Can't Stop" singer, reported The Nation. Citing several sources, Hemsworth decided to reach out to the singer following her massive health scare due to an extreme allergic reaction to antibiotics.

EntertainmentWise cited a Showbiz spy source, who said, "Liam still cares about Miley. They didn't work out as a couple, but he still wants to know that she's okay...He was extremely worried when he heard Miley was hospitalised, so he got in touch to find out how she is."

The couple, who ended their on-off relationship and engagement following their hookup while filming "The Last Song" in 2009, has gone separate ways. Hemsworth has been starring in several high-octane movies, a handful of them are the popular dystopian-themed "The Hunger Games" series. Cyrus on the other hand, has long shed her Disney image and been peddling her form of art pop through her "Bangerz" tour. The tour has gained notoriety for its lewdness, promotion of sex, pot and drugs, and provocation that has since led to calls from parents and rights groups shutting the tour down.

Since her ailment on Tuesday due to cephalexin, Cyrus's tour management has been forced to postpone her U.S. tour until she recovers, Variety have said. Cyrus' camp is still keen to kick off the show' European leg in Amsterdam on May 2.

In a statement released from Cyrus' camp this week, the exhaustion from the tour and the death of her beloved dog, Floyd, has compounded to the pop star's condition. EntertainmentWise quoted an insider, who said, "What Miley is suffering from is much more than an allergic reaction to antibiotics. She's really suffering from the death of Floyd. Floyd was her best friend. She feels like a part of her, a big part of her, has died. (Miley is) beyond exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally".
