As various companies come up with creative promotional schemes in lieu of the recent launch of the 2014 MLB season, Mattress Mack, a furniture store owner, also featured a unique offer for loyal customers and baseball fans.

The company tweeted through its official account on Twitter on April Fool's Day, "Astros win, you win!! So excited about our new promotion with your Houston Astros!" A link followed the post to provide the details of the promo.

According to Gallery Furniture, its owner Mattress Mack will give away free furniture if the Houston Astros win 63 games for the season. The prizes will be given to the initial 500 MLB fans or Mattress Mack customers who purchase $6,300 worth of furniture and have it forwarded to their home in a week's time. Should the Houston Astros win 63 games, the customers will get a full refund of their purchase.

Considering the poor performance of the Astros in the past four seasons, Mattress Mack may not be expecting to refund customers any time soon, writes Bleacher Report. The Astros have three consecutive 100-loss seasons, and their record continued to decline in the past four years.

Mattress Mack has been known to place big bets on sports teams in the past. Recently, he lost almost $8 million in a bet during Super Bowl XLVIII when the Seattle Seahawks scored on a safety. Regardless of his loss, the bet seemed to be a good advertising move for his shop, which instantly gained attention from sports fans all over the United States. Mack said after losing at the Super Bowl, "As far as financially, we didn't do well." He added, "But we did a great job building the brand and delighting customers and if we do that, the business will continue to grow."

He said that he challenged the Astros to win more than 63 games. He picked the number 63 because it was his 63rd birthday this year. Gallery Furniture's 2014 promotions cost around $8.2 million in free furniture, writes Yahoo! Sports

According to MLB.com, the Houston Astros started the season well with a 2-0 record.
