Staten Island Zoo in New York welcomed the Dome Shelled Tortoises from the Galapagos Islands.
The zoo revealed the arrival via its Twitter account @StatenIslandZoo by sharing a beautiful picture of this peculiar species.

The Staten Island Zoo is one of the most active on social media as it shares pictures to keep its followers updated about its activities on a daily basis.
On March 26, the zoo posted on its Instagram account the picture of the first ostrich egg, which was compared to a penny and eggs of other sizes.
