A woman gave birth to quintuplets in Dallas, Texas, and all babies are reported to be in good health with a weight between 2.7 lbs and 3.6 lbs.

After a long cesarean section surgery, Michelle Seals gave birth to four girls and one boy at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, making her family grow from 3 to 8 members.

The couple from Maud, Texas, who recently celebrated the second birthday of their first child, said they were very thankful to be blessed with five children, who they named Mia, Tessa, Gracie, Rayleigh and Brant, according to ABC.

Through a press release quoted by the news network, the Baylor University Medical Center reported that the lightest baby weight 2.7 lbs, estimating an average of three pounds for each baby, and all of them are in perfect health.

"The Seals quintuplets are the first quintuplets born in the Baylor University Medical Center in its 110 years of history," reported the medical center in a press release quoted by ABC. "Almost two dozen doctors and nursing staff participated in the birth and care of the babies. The five babies are being monitored in the hospital's intensive neonatal care area," it added.

In an interview with KLTV, Michelle, an elementary school teacher, said that she became pregnant with quintuplets after fertility treatments, after the couple had trouble getting pregnant after the birth of their first child.

Last March 12, Michelle Seals, author of the blog The Sweet Life, shared with her readers the experience during her 28th week of pregnancy, showing her excitement and how blessed she felt to await her quintuplets, something she had worked hard for.
