An ex-convict was arrested by Tampa police after his neighbors complained that he had maintained sexual relations with a dog in his yard in broad daylight.

The 57-year-old man, identified as Bernard Marsonek, was accused of possessing a firearm, sexual acts with animals and animal cruelty, after the police arrived at 1800 Marks Street and found a gun and ammo in his home.

The Tampa police spokesman said that when the officers arrived at the place they were received by a group of residents of N. Marks Street, who said they shouted at the man to stop his acts, according to statements quoted by Fox 13.

The police said that Marsonek is a convicted criminal who was freed on Wednesday after he paid a bail of $17,500 dollars; however, the investigations on the illegal possession of firearms and animal cruelty continue.

The local ABC affiliate said that Animal Services went to Bernard Marsonek's home and took the custody of eight pit bulls owned by the arrested man.
