In November last year, action star Jean-Claude Van Damme made huge waves online for his "epic split" Volvo ad, where he did a split in between two trucks moving. The said ad was meant to show off the vehicles' efficiency and performance.

However, the marketing stunt ended up showcasing Van Damme's awesome physical abilities, stealing the limelight from Volvo's product. It did give the company the publicity it wanted, though. Needless to say, the video went viral and spun off many parodies. Which brings us to the next point.

After doing that epic split ad, some may have asked what JCVD can do to top that stunt. The answer came about 3 months after his Volvo ad went viral - doing splits in outer space.

Mashable reported that an imaginative YouTuber, Linh Mai, sent Van Damme out of this world and made him do his famous stunt in zero gravity. This sounds a bit familiar - didn't a certain Sports Illustrated cover favorite do a swimsuit shoot in the same conditions not too long ago?

Anyway, Mai's parody is said to be "a subtle nod to the Oscar-nominated blockbuster 'Gravity'." Well, just in time! Oscars 2014 is happening this Sunday, where we'll finally know who predicted rightly and whether Gravity will earn an Academy Award.

According to the Mirror, the Belgian actor is dressed up as an astronaut in the parody clip, doing the same voiceover from his Volvo ad.

"I've had my ups and downs... My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That's what made me what I am today," the martial arts expert intoned. Perhaps he should have said "bumpy rides" for this clip, as there are no roads involved in this one.

"Now I stand here before you. What you see is a body crafted to perfection. A pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits," he continued. Then he proceeds to do a split "between two satellites before floating off."

If 'Gravity' gets a sequel, Van Damme should be in it.
