Musician Ed Sheeran finally turned 23 just recently, inching closer to friend Taylor Swift's 24. However, he also got a good ribbing over his clothes sense on top of the birthday greetings the country music star sent him via Twitter.
"HAPPYBIRTHDAY @edsheeran! Now let's take a moment to reflect back on the best outfit you've ever worn," Tay tweeted, accompanying her message with a black and white snap.
The photo shows Ed in a rather dapper getup - a white shirt with a black jumper covering his shoulders, Entertainmentwise noted.
The talented birthday boy is known for his laid back, casual looks, favoring a "long-sleeve-under-short-sleeve look," the Huffington Post observed. He even was named "2012's Worst Dressed Male in Britain" via a GQ Magazine poll. However, the A Team singer didn't take this title seriously - he saw the humor in it and even shared the information to his Twitter followers a year ago. He also humorously defended himself by saying he "did wear a Burberry suit once."
Apparently, this doesn't matter much to the singer-songwriter. After all, he's been the recipient of many music industry accolades and have found commercial success in his artistic efforts. He may not be the best dressed man, but he's moving forward and upward in his career.
Just recently, Ed performed with Taylor on stage at the London stopover of her RED Tour.
The ginger-haired singer is said to be releasing his yet untitled second album soon, according to MTV. He still has refused to share the album's name, saying that it "doesn't start with a letter," NovaFM reported. There also have been rumors that the much anticipated record will be dropped on his birthday and that one of the songs in the album will be called "Photograph."
Will he be releasing his second studio effort this week? Let's wait until Ed is done blowing his birthday candles.
