At an appearance on "Ellen", the Daily Mail noted that Eva Mendes' cryptic messages might have been a confirmation of her breakup with "The Notebook" star Ryan Gosling.
Part of the interview was about the lovely Florida native's plans for Valentines' Day. The 39 year-old told Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm not a big Valentine's Day person. 'I'll probably just order a deep dish and watch The Notebook or something. Just cry, weep."
Rumors have escalated abou the stars' split after the couple had not been spotted together in the past couple of months, Express said in a separate report. The UK newspaper said that based on multiple reports, the couple split because of Mendes' penchant for the party life. Quoting an In Touch source, the person said, "Eva loves Hollywood, the parties, the glamour. She loves going out. (Ryan is) introverted - very serious and a total homebody. They started having problems back in Septemeber, and they decided to quietly cal it off for good around Christmas."
The interview also revolved around her reported pregnancy. Recalling at a scene at an airport, Mendes expressed her incredulity with the way how people interpreted her actions, said Zap2IT.
"It's so ridiculous because it all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know, those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down," Mendes said to DeGeneres.
Based on her IMDb profile, Mendes is expected to complete production of "How to Catch a Monster," which is incidentally directed by her supposedly former beau. Co-starring with "Hanna" star Saoirse Ronan and "Mad Men" beauty Christina Hendricks, the movie is about a single mother who is swept into an underworld while coping for her teenage son's coming-of-age as he discovers a road that will eventually lead him to a secret town underwater.
