Brad Pitt has distinguished himself in the part for his philanthropic acts and helping those in need, and this time the movie star, who recently turned 50, helped a homeless man in Los Angeles by giving him $100.

According to People en Español, last weekend the actor went to one of the city's recording studios. When Brad got on his car to leave, a homeless man approached his window and asked for some help.

The Hollywood star did not think twice, opened his wallet and handed the man the folded bill.

When the man that approached the star unfolded the bill he was greatly surprised since he discovered he had received $100. The man's excitement was such that he posed for the photographers present.

Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie have intensely supported various initiatives to fight AIDS and poverty in the developing world, among which are the actions carried out by ONE Campaign which has recruited various international artists to tell the world about the harsh living conditions of people in marginal regions of the world.

Likewise, the happy couple created the "Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation" (MJP) in 2006, an organization which had the original objective of saving the Samlaout reserve, a protected area in Cambodia, but that in recent years has joined various causes to stop extreme poverty in the world and protect the planet's natural resources.

Last December, a few days before his 50th birthday, the actor, activist, philanthropist and father received a special award from the AARP and posed for the cover of its magazine, according to Time magazine.
