Florida police revealed on Tuesday further details on an incident that took place on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 2 when a 79-year-old woman ran over seven people as she was leaving a parking lot close to a church in Bradenton.

79-year-old Doreen Landstran lost control of her car as she tried to maneuver the parking lot of a mobile home for elderly people in east Bradenton in reverse on Sunday morning, reported CNN.

According to the same source, three people lost their lives before Landstran's vehicle crashed into a sidewalk and finally ended up partially submerged in a creek,

The people that lost their lives were identified as 80-year-old Johanna Dijkhoff, 70-year-old Wilhemina Paul and 72-year-old Margaret Vanderlaan, all of them residents of Bradenton Florida, according to the Liberty Voice's website.

Lieutenant Gregory Bueno, spokesman for the Florida highway patrol, told the media that so far no charges have been made against the 79-year-old woman, and that investigation is being carried out to determine the causes of the accident.

"It's a tragic situation. Every time something like this happens it breaks your heart," Bueno said.

Both Ms. Landstran and her husband, who was travelling on the passenger seat, were injured in the accident, while the other four injured people remained interned in the Blake Medical Center until Sunday; there are no further details on their medical condition.

Doreen Landstran was set free on Sunday night as investigations continue, after it was proven that she was not driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Liberty Voice.
